2021.10.19 20:41 CCfreedom Rattling When Decelerating

Been getting progressively worse. Getting a loud tinny type of rattle when downshifting and decelerating. Worst seems to be 3rd gear and 2nd between 2,000-3,000 RPM. I’m guessing something to do with exhaust heat shields but was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue? 2012 Impreza Hatch Manual

2021.10.19 20:41 knockonwoodthrice Something way off about Gwent

Before I get mobbed by the fans of this game within a game, hear me out.
I enjoy playing the game but there's something inconsistent between Gwent and the W3 universe.
From my perspective it's like playing poker with arbitrarily valued collectible cards... With celebrities on it.
So the dwarves invented it (refresh my memory) how did they figure out who worked for which side? Who looked like what? Who used what ability? Gaunter refers to himself as a mirror salesman yet what ability does use in the decks? Creepy as hell that the dwarves know. And there are characters they haven't even met yet, yet included in the decks.
To add, since I mentioned that characters on the cards are celebrities, isn't it strange that Gwent players aren't starstruck meeting THE Geralt of Rivia in the flesh asking for a round of Gwent? That's like Kobe asking a random hooper in a playground for a game of 1 on 1, people famous enough to be placed on game cards merit a dose of awe from mere mortals. Instead of "viper eyed hell raiser" or "f***ing mutant" people should have been asking Gerry to kiss their kids or sign their tits or whatever.
The game requires a suspension of disbelief but it really stretches it beyond its limits.
The Continent is weird. Gwent made it weirder. If someone agrees or disagrees, let me know what you think.
*forgive my Google translate English - it's a tertiary language

Hi,
I'm selling my gaming laptop because I don't really use it, I have a desktop. I used to bring it to watch videos and play some light games and also brought it to some in-person tournaments like Dremhack in the past. Haven't seen much usage otherwise.
Specs:
17'' 1080p 144hz IPS display
i7-8750h
RTX 2080 max Q (with tweaking in afterburner you can reach very close 2070 desktop performance)
256gb SSD + 1tb HDD
16gb RAM (2x8gb)
Looking for 2050$ and will ship for you with tracking and signature required. Can also sell locally if you're willing to come meet me in Montréal. If you have any questions PM me or write here and I'll respond the fastest I can. If you have a ''weaker'' gaming laptop and are willing to add $ I could consider also.

8. MEDIA AVAILABILITY
Statements by Premier Kenney
Municipal Election
  • Congratulates winners of municipal elections. Specifically names Mayor-Elects Gondek and Sohi
  • Refrains from commenting on referendum but feels that there's support for moving forward on it
Covid-19
  • Feels Alberta has helped reduce the 4th wave. Covid ICU has declined slightly and all leading indicators are declining
  • Early results suggest Thanksgiving weekend has not accelerated spread but too early to call
  • All good news but long way to go - hospitalizations still above the peak of previous waves
  • Flu season and cold weather means the province cannot let up on reducing cases
  • Encourages vaccination and to get the QR code (the latter as it's the only accepted form of documentation starting Nov 25)
Flu Vaccine
  • Reminds that vaccines are now available
  • Flu vaccines are important as flu season increases hospital pressure in normal years
Continuing Care
  • This population remains most at risk
  • Starting October 25, additional measures will come into place for continuing care facilities (mandatory masking, quarantining)
Statements by Dr Hinshaw
Clarification
  • Restriction Exemption Program: proof of vaccination from outside the province, military, or First Nation health clinics are valid
Additional Case Details
  • Active cases in 315 schools, 4 on outbreak
Continuing Care Changes
  • Starting Monday: Masking is mandatory indoors (even in resident's rooms). This is regardless of vaccination status. Exception will occur if "significant communication challenges" (e.g. dementia, hard of hearing) exists. Reach out to site operator to discus
  • All long term care/designated supportive living care will be quarantined when returning from acute care or from hospital stay >24 hours and will last until a negative PCR test is given
    • Will hopefully limit entry from acute care
  • Will be sending letters to strongly recommend unvaccinated family and friends to not visit or attend to residents in-person
    • Will also note that operators have authority to implement additional mandatory measures based on consultation of residents and family
Statements by Dr Yiu
ICU
  • 75% are occupied (163% occupancy without surge beds)
  • High numbers of non-Covid admissions, partly due to increase surgical capacity
  • Thanks redeployed surgical teams and it's positive they can be moved back
  • ICU surge beds will be reduced over upcoming weeks
  • Will be done carefully and cautiously
  • Will reschedule surgeries ASAP
Mandatory Vaccination
  • 92% of AHS employees have submitted proof of full vaccination
  • 92% of physicians and 97% of ICU staff are fully immunized
  • 7% have not submitted and are working to confirm vaccination status
  • >1% are seeking accommodation (~1,200 requests, ~830 have submitted the paper work)
  • Stands by policy and it will be implemented
  • Those who are not fully vaccinated and not in compliance (no exception or workplace accommodation) will be on unpaid leave of absence
  • 61 employees have resigned (31 in clinical roles, 11 of which were nurses) over policy
Q&A
Questions for Premier Kenney
Municipal Election
  • What do the election of more progressive candidates mean for you and the UCP?: Isn't sure that the elections were ideological or that the candidates are progressive. Will respect choice of voters
  • Multiple candidates were linked to the UCP. Thoughts?: Considers the question to be factually inaccurate as he believes the UCP was not involved in supporting candidates and alleges the NDP of involvement. While the candidates may have affiliations, he suggests the UCP wasn't involved (and directs reporter to ask the NDP)
Mayor-Elect Gondek
  • Mayor-Elect Gondek suggests she may work directly with federal government to get a childcare deal. Thoughts?: In negotiations with federal government and wants flexibility similar to Quebec. Offers to have Minister Rebecca Schulz speak to Mayor-Elect Gondek
  • Mayor-Elect Gondek wants to reform how the city acquires property taxes. Thoughts?: Happy to sit down on the topic. Will listen but current government hasn't made changes on property tax revenue
Councillor Chu
  • Mayor-Elect Gondek has stated her intention to approach province in removing Councillor Sean Chu. Thoughts?: The act he is accused of is appalling and the matter is serious. Doesn't have all the facts at hand and what actions were taken must be investigated. The Municipal Government Act does not give Ministers capacity to remove Councillors unless certain grounds are met. Need facts to come in first
  • So what would it take to remove him (e.g. criminal evidence)?: Just been reviewed currently. Convictions with offences punishable by 5+ years or under sections 123, 124, or 125 can be automatically disqualified. Dismissal cannot occur out of hand. Asking Minister McIver to investigate avenues further
  • Do you think Sean Chu should resign?: If the reports are true, then it would be honourable to resign
Referendum
  • What % will you need to consider for "strong action"?: Majority. Sees ~60% support right now
  • Is the DST referendum result surprising?: Will wait until results are finalized. A previous referendum on the topic in Alberta has seen a 49/51 previously, so it may have been more of the same
Questions for Minister McIver
Councillor Chu
  • Do you think the allegations have met the bar for resignation right not?: If the allegation are true, then yes. Due diligence is required still.
Questions for Dr Hinshaw
  • None
Questions for Dr Yiu
  • None

2021.10.19 20:41 Cardgame_Nerd Can a unit shoot while in melee combat ?

To further clarify, it is says in the Rules if a unit is within 3" of an unit it can only shoot at that unit. Does that mean a unit with missile weapons can shoot while in melee combat, but only at that unit they are in combat with ?

For example: In my charge Phase, my unit of Plaguebearers charge a unit with missile weapons sucessfully. Melee combat goes as usual, then its my opponents turn. They reach their shooting phase, can the unit with missile weapons fire at my Plaguebearers even tho they are in melee combat with them ? If yes, can they use their melee weapons aswell ?
